It seems impossible to get to my blog at all.

I am having a tough time in doing sth about it.

Anyway, it was China's national day yesterdae. So we went to watch fireworks at the rooftop Garden on the YMCA building in Tsim Sha Tsui.

To be honest, i feel restless and tired all the time that I don't really feel like going to this event. But in the end, I went because of the free tickets. At least we don't have to be packed like sardines in the streets.

I'm glad I went becoz it turned out fun. :)

Got photos uploaded in flickr.com (but if you ever see them... ignore our crazy ideas of photo taking... I am juz havin a ...er... hang over... from...... sleep deprivation.

I only gotta sleep at 6am this morn.

~~~~~~~~~~
Feeling kinda in the slump lately.
Haven't really feel well for a long time.
I mean is easy to pretend to be happy. All you need to do is pull the muscles on ur face. Who will suspect anything?
Really.
But... why am I down?
I don't know. I am getting so used to it that I don't know whether it is actually intrinsically a part of me.
Juz like... watchin fireworks... is juz a fleeting moment of novelty. I am.. in awe (Am I?) for a moment... and then I touched back down on earth again.
Waz happenin to me?
Finally gotta post sth...
well.. hopefully things are going a little bit on track...
PICTURES HERE (in case you didn't get to see my flickr account. :p)
Anyway... went to Sai Kung for an outing erm.. last week?.. I don't rem when was it. But it was ..... FUN? Shall I say?
Anyway.. Sai Kung is a mountainous area real far from my school...
My hall had this outing for two daez one night there. So.. we started off in school where we gotta play "ice breakers" like trust fall and so on. Then we were all blindfolded and led up to a coach.. where we were STILL blindfolded for most of the journey till we reached Sai Kung about an hour or more later.
Er... seriously.. waz the blindfolding for?
So we reached there and start hiking that mountainous terrain. So... from the morn.. thaz all we do. We walked n walked n walked till night falls.
Wee.. how fun.
Yeah right.
OK.. the view is kinda nice. But most people were distracted by the rocky path and excessive amount of cow DUNG along the narrow path. THEY WERE REALLY EVERYWHERE.
In the end.. I came to the conclusion that the cow was getting lost in the mountains. Thaz why it gotta used its HUGE and (thank god) smell-less faeces as markers along the way. (^.^lll)
Ok.. we walked in the mountains for the whole day and then took a ferry to some offshore island. I still have no idea which island we went to.
And it started raining.
Then we pitched tents at a soccer field at the top of a hill.
Er... it was cold and wet.
N when the dawn approached.. we were ask to go somewhere higher to see the sun rise. Again... the serenity is broken by the abundance of cow dung on the grasses.
At least I was smart enough to sit at a shelter. Most juz rushed forward in the dark or goes "Wah... look at that piece of cow dung. Is so GIGANTIC.." and then they stepped into the grasses anyway.
Duh..
Some photos are here: CLICK HERE
BUT GUYZ... I juz got wind that the GPA (which is equivalent to CAP in NUS) sux big time becoz of the extravagant amount of time people from this hall spend on activities.
It's really scary.
Esp. when they wanted everyone to do very much the same. Play real hard.
In fact, a gal living on my floor deferred two years to be an executive member in the Student Union.
And many seniors gotta do a lot more credits becoz they were not making the grades for the last two or three years.
It's like a hybridation of JC and NS.
Well... most ppl should know how I would feel about such a fantabulous combination of elements...
haha
Hello everyone. Never really got the time to blog for the last few daez. :p
Life was hectic, sometimes miserable, most of the times lost.. up till now. haha
I never thought everything is gonna be easy. Well... when "the going gets tough, the tough gets going" right?
Anyway... just to back track on the "series of unfortunate events" that occured. (Right.. I am just misusng the phrase... not exactly "unfortunate". )
1st Sept 2005
Got on board the flight Jetstar Asia which took off at around 6am. So you get the picture.. I gotta reach the airport by 5 am the latest.
Anyway... I was nearly late for the flight. Erm.. kinda usual right? Haha... don't you know lateness is a virtue?
ANYWAY... so I got to HK... and had a very frantic day. Check into the hall which was kinda miserable. Er.. I went to this level of the hall named the "Elysium" and all these women.. erm.. or ladies... are kinda.... mental.
I mean they call themselves the "goddesses"? Hello?!
SO therez a goddess of hope... another goddess of something... blah blah blah
Whatz worse.. is that I heard that I would need to be named sooner or later.. HELLO??????
WHAT? Goddess? It sounds so... pompous.
In fact, there are grafftti in my wardrobe... left behind by previous "goddesses." (^.^lll)
AnD the worse part was.. this hall had a very unique style of orientation. Freshmen were asked to come to an orientation camp in which they were treated like vermins. SERIOUS.
Luckily I was late for the "boot camp". The seniors never allowed the freshmen to sleep.. and they were scolded all the time. I could hear their shouts even when my room was at the other end of the corridor.. and I never got much sleep in the end.
PLEASE.
It was madness.
They were forcing the freshmen to remember the "college song", history and cheers all the time.
Basically... they NEVER sleep. And their cheers were still resounding in my head. It goes like "SEVENTH FLOOR, SEVENTH FLOOR, IS A PLEASANT HALL!"
OR... "V-I-V-A VIVA ST.JohNS... V-I-V-A viva st.johns.!"
OH PLEASE... How could it be "pleasant" when they do this at ur door at 3am in the morn. And this continue till the nez day...
RIght... I think I am complaing too much.
Leave the tales to a later time.
CiaoZ.
