Something impalpable stays

since the day it happened.

It is endearing and yet enslaving.

But no, it does not matter then,

nor does it matter now.

Nothing matters.

But why?

Everything seems to become nothing to me

since the day it happened.

------------------------------------
Like this.....

"I ought to grieve, but cannot what I ought.
I mourn the lover, not lament the fault.
I view my crime, but kindle at the view.
Repent old pleasures and solicit new."

"How shall I lose the sin and yet keep the sense?
And love the offender, yet detest the offence?
How the dear object from the crime remove,
or how distinguish penitence from love?

An unequal task! A passion to resign,
For hearts so touched, so pierced, so lost as mine.
Before such a soul regains its peaceful state,
How often must it love, how often hate!
How often hope, despair, resent, regret,
Conceal, disdain ---- Do all things but FORGET."

Sorry for sounding cliche.

Thaz me.

Maybe it happens to everyone once in a while.

Finally woke up early enough for breakfast...

the timing for meals here is kinda inflexible (for me..)

Is as follow:

Breakfast
7.30am (!!!) - 9.15am (yawnz)

Lunch (equivalent to my breakfast)
12.30-13.30

Dinner (lunch)
18.45-19.30

Dur...

But the breakfast is really the bez meal of the day... Juz wanna eat the toast so much...

Now I am listenin to a few songs by Billy Joel ...

Try listenin to this: Piano Man

Like the interlude melody of the harmonica...

Maybe becoz is early morn... n the song starts with "It's nine o'clock on a Saturday..."

Actually preferred this song, Vienna ... like its meaning and it's one of the sound tracks in 13 going on 30... :p

Slow down you crazy child
You're so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you're so smart tell me why
You are still so afraid?

Where's the fire, what's the hurry about?
You better cool it off before you burn it out
You got so much to do and only
So many hours in a day

But you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want
Or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you

Slow down you're doing fine
You can't be everything you want to be
Before your time
Although it's so romantic on the borderline tonight
Too bad but it's the life you lead
You're so ahead of yourself
That you forgot what you need
Though you can see when you're wrong
But you know you can't always see when you're right

You got your passion you got your pride
But don't you know only fools are satisfied?
Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you

Slow down you crazy child
Take the phone off the hook
And disappeaar for a while
It's alright you can afford to lose a day or two
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you.
Speak only if it matters,
Hold your tongue if this is a guise.
Silence does make the loudest sound, you know.

NIGHT OUT

Was it on Saturday?

Everything is a blur to me now...

Anyway... went to Central for dinner with a group of Singapore, Hong Kong and German friends. Went to this place known as Dragon i... Extravagantly decorated with red laterns and a contrasting black background complete with bar tables and authentic Chinese and Japanese cusines. A hybridization of east and west... the words that spring to mind is a paradox.. traditonal and yet Bohemian...

In fact, it is a dining place where round tables and sofas will be removed at around eleven.. transformin the place virtually into a disco club.

Therez even a model night... so models get free drinks and food --- selling point for attractin MORE customers...

Oh... and a peripheral point (though I see that as a MAIN attraction too.. er hem.. call me a "frog in the well".. whatever...) the washrooms are retro. These are unisex cubicles with a total metallic look... For some reason, it reminds me of matrix.

If I've known it will look this good.. I would have brought my phone camera juz to take a photo of the loo. (Right... I admit I do sound like a yokel.)

Anyway.. the bill comes out impressive as well... if I am not wrong.. it costs HK$2068+ for the nine of us there. Well... maybe therez a high maintenance fee for the loo?

Switched the location to a petite and cozy jazz bar along one of the shophouses.. located on the 5th floor. It seems to be a residence-turned-pub bar.

The band that was playin that day is known as the Kentohead. They played a few cantopop in a jazz rendition as well as other songs like Disney's A whole new world and Sway.

Well... at around midnight.. went on to Causeway Bay to M bar.

A few drunked men were juz vomitin along the street. Anyway, I was talkin on the phone outside the bar and a Caucasian man who reminds me of Tom Hanks in Cast Away was obviously zonked... and havin trouble walkin...

Looked as though he would lunge over me.

But is a really interestin night... though I smell like a walkin cigarette by then.

Thaz part of the actions of the city that never sleeps.

Btw... anyone interested in music and bands... check out this website on some local music functions Music in the City
