Freedom is not a human right conferred by Heaven. Nor does the freedom to dream come at birth: it is a capacity and an awareness that needs to be defended. Moreover, even dreams can be assailed by nightmares.

In La Salle Arts Academy now...
Finding stuff to do.. and what the heck? Why not an entry?
Is it? Or is it not? That is the question.
Yesterday was certainly the lowest point I've had so far for this semester. Impalpability of the modules kinda makes me edgy plus there are other perturbing issues.
Anyway...
Today, it's getting better.

Listening to Five for Fighting's new album Two Lights these days. I've actually indulged myself in a mild level of profligacy by buying 4 albums in the last few weeks.
I mean.. yeah... no one in their right mind will BUY albums these days. But there are songs that can't be found online especially when they are renditions by other artistes.
Kinda like this song now...
Five for Fighting - The Riddle
Riddles. I never like riddles. It's too much guess work.
Maybe that's why it's like life in general?
It is, too, too much guess work.

Lecture for yesterday...
GEK1519 - Science of Music, Music, physics and keyboards
This module aims to introduce students to the science of music.
The aim of the module is to introduce non-musicians as well as non-scientists to the underlying science on which much of music is based. Present-day music theory is based on firm physics and psycho-acoustical foundations which may not be apparent to most listeners but which underlie the rules of harmony and counterpoint. The design and technology of musical instruments also has a solid basis in physics and acoustics. Recent developments in electronic and computer music, as well as sound reproduction, have served to bring music, science and technology even more closely together. Electronic keyboards and synthesizers are now widely used alongside traditional keyboard instruments like the pianoforte for music making.
Great... I am so musically-inclined since I play the recorder and simply love physics that I drop it while in college.
...
Predictably, I will have a marvelous time with the subject.
Oh... and did I mention that it is at an obviously not dreaded time of 0800 in the morning?

Hand baggage Security...
According to CNN.com: New UK Hand Baggage Restrictions...
"Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point. The dimensions of this item must not exceed: a maximum length of 45 cm, width of 35 cm and depth of 16 cm (17.7"×13.7"×6.2" approx) (including wheels, handles, side pockets etc.)."
" To help their progress through search points, passengers are encouraged not to include items capable of containing liquids (e.g. bottles, flasks, tubes, cans, plastic containers etc.) in their cabin baggage."
Apparently, UK is now suffering from the post traumatic stress disorder.
...
Well... trying to look on the bright side...
At least it's not a worldwide restriction... yet.

These days...
Friday the 11th...
"I am from the Pirates of Caribbean!" ~ Kraken-san
The blues.
Saturday the 12th...
NUS attempt to break the world records in:
1. Drink dry the milo truck. (...)
2. Fold 10,000 cranes in one hour. (That sounds tedious work.)
3. World's fastest crane folder. (Er. Okie.. but it isn't usual for people to time themselves while doing origami.)
Last day of fireworks...
Photographers at the ready...
It's a waiting game.
Oh great... fireworks.
It's kinda blur but these are people holding out their mobile phones. Actually, I didn't take pictures of the firework. Haha...
Haven't you heard of the book Whatever you think, think the opposite?
You see the people, you imagine the fireworks.
Right.
