Hello?! Working like a dog here~
And no thanks. No more walk for now. Yawnz.
Stupefied. Zombified. Petrified. ArGH. --- Understatement to my state of torpor.
This is normally the time when I tune into cantonpop and SOME mandarin pop... Those that are with a high level of amplitude and decibels... And also... you can sing along easily. THIS is what keeps me awake.
Such as...
Eason Chen's Ah Niu (Trans: Ah Ox. LoL.) from U87 - This is a really good album. Most songs are great.
Twins' Yi Shi Wu Liang (Trans: Not two things at one time) from the album by the same title. Catchy tune. The sort of song you will sing in karaoke.
Mayday is just doing a marvelous job in keeping me sane. Sun Wu Kong (Trans: Monkey God. Dur.) Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da....
Oh Going back to the topic of Eason... One of my favourites Shall We Talk is just great for easy listening. (BUT this take a LONG time for buffering... )Though there is a mandarin version, it just don't have the gist of the cantonese version.
Well.. I have no idea why I went into incessant babbling of songs. More on this at a later time.
Right now...
I am in DIRE need of a good sleep.
Freedom is not a human right conferred by Heaven. Nor does the freedom to dream come at birth: it is a capacity and an awareness that needs to be defended. Moreover, even dreams can be assailed by nightmares.

"IF ANYTHING CAN GO WRONG, IT WILL."
-- The Murphy Law
Wonder how many people heard about this? The fatalistic corollary that sounds downright outlandish but TRUE?
There are various versions of it.. such as...
If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
(Nod. Nod.)
Rule of Accuracy: When working toward the solution of a problem, it always helps if you know the answer.
Corollary: Provided, of course, that you know there is a problem.
On Work... (Nice ones... relevant to some of you?)
It doesn't matter what you do, it only matters what you say you've done and what you say you're going to do.
(In another word, just do your work when you are under surveillance?)
The more crap you put up with, the more crap you are going to get.
(Erm.. self-explanatory.)
Mother said there would be days like this, but she never said there would be so many.
Everything can be filed under "miscellaneous".
(That's the way. I did just that with my hodgepodge of pictures taken at various occasions... All I did was... tapped the mouse.. Click "Create new > Folder > Named: Miscellaneous"... There! Perfect way to organize a mess. **sense of achievement**)
Well... just found it interesting. How does a statement so queer, with so many derivations become a SCIENTIFIC axiom worth considering by engineers at work?
Initially, I thought it is just a cynical verdict to justify anything bad going on around the world.
Then, it strikes me...
It is not pessimism that resulted in its birth. Rather, it might be optimism at work --
Consider the "what-ifs". Things can always go wrong. Don't be disappointed by it.
In fact... maybe it's the challenge that are posed by things which can go wrong that keep us going in our everyday life.
Just imagine... without any Gordian knots to untie, we will most probably turn senile.. say.. by 30? We just need problems, don't we?
Er.. though I doubt the other versions hold the same implication.. ha...

It was supposed to be any other day.
There were lectures. Tutorials. Chats with friends. Rides on SLOW.MRT.
Humdrum.
And there I was reading George Orwell's 1984 ...
Got pass descriptions of the protaganist's regimented life under the totalitarian rule of Big Brother..
Down with the whole Julia and Winston adulterous affair...
And... right... FINALLY got to the climax (took quite a while)... The whole idea of a rebel group going against the state....
Getting exciting there....
THEN....
it happened...
There was an excruciating pain coming from my stomach.
I felt a cloud engulfing my head asudden.
It blinded my eyes. I can't see. Everything turned into indistinct silhouettes and white spots like a television with abysmal reception.
It clasped my ears. I can't hear. Voices turned into a distant buzz.
Anxiety. Rapid pulsation. I can't breath.
Someone was pushing my head down. I can't think..... I can't talk.....
.....
Somehow I thought that was it.
But in my usual erratic way, I found myself laughable even at that agonizing moment. God knows why though...
I wobbled my way through...
And.. then... just like how it came... the cloud was gone.
Everything's back to normal...
But...
What happen to me?

Satire backfired...
"Poor Piglet"
From International Herald Tribune. Cox & Forkum.
Blowing out of proportion. Really.
Talking about violence in Pakistan, Syria, Sudan, Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia (and what have you) due to publishing of cartoons in the Danish papers and a few other European papers.
One of the reports mentioned about how companies in Middle East with foreign sounding names got to put up adverts to prove that they are not Danish.
I wonder whether it is just the 12 Mohammed Caricatures in the Danish papers that caused the abhorrence...
No doubt it is incendiary but attention given to it is just exorbitant.
Yawnz. Boring.. really.
Going back to my state of self-induced stupor.

Breakfast @ Times Square KL sometime ago. Fatigued but pleased adjourner.
The sky in Singapore always appear like this to me. A canopy of green and blue.
Waiting for bus at Bugis... S... L...O...W..... argh.. and it was HUMID. Damn.
In the SMRT. S... L... O... W.. mass rapid transit. How ironic. SLOW RAPID transit. Everyone minding their own business.
Coffee and lecture always come in pair. Coffee lecture.. lecture coffee... You can't have lecture without coffee.. likewise, you can always miss the lecture and still have the coffee.. erm.. okie... not in pair then..
The thai farmer.
Jazzbar @ Southbridge. With Hong and REBEL. Great ambience with live jazz band. Took a while to heat up though. oH oH.. the soloist sang Girl from Ipanema and MoonGlow... WooOO~
Can you see the FIREWORK? I admit.. is kinda blurred.. but now that I tell you there is a FIREWORK display in the picture.. you MUST be able to figure out where it is...?? Yeah?
Doube O. With jour in the.. er hem.. loo? Well.. it was too dim everywhere else. :o
