Watched Perhaps Love sometime ago...

To be honest, the show is better than I thought. Initially, I was thinkin of it as another cliche romance film with Kaneshiro as the selling point.

Yet, it is not another story with a fairy tale ending.

As a musical, the leads arent really able to carry the sound forward. But Jacky Cheung saved the show with his impeccable singing.

Anyway.. while watching the movie, it reminds me of "Phantom of the Opera". It's still along that storyline of a triangular love story.

And coincidentally, the "outsiders" in the respective films (Jacky's role as the director Nie Wen and the Phantom in the "Phantom of the Opera") have the most powerful singing.

It's still a movie worth to watch. For one, I expect a musical to be about people talking in songs and it always lack realism because of it.

But the problem is solved by limiting the singing in the context of a musical directed by Nie Wen (Jacky Cheung) in the show. Basically, there is a musical within the film. Somehow the plot of that story is similar to the real situation faced by the actor and actress leading the musical.

A song which I really like (apart from the theme song) is the following song

wai mian in "Perhaps Love" (trans: wai mian = outside)

Erm...

in a way... I do feel for this song.

or i should say.. it mean something to me?

Hee..

Hope you get it.
