Hey guyz... juz went to the Central Tea Restaurant in Holland V juz now.. is juz opposite the Subway

this is the name card.. well.. the food is similar to that in HK but the ambience is totally different.. If you guyz wanna try the food I would recommend it to a "taste" of food from traditional tea restaurants... esp. the french toasts r exactly like those served in HK TR

BUT... a very big BUT.. it feels too Singapore... what I mean is that the Restaurant PRETEND too much.. calling itself CENTRAL TEA RESTAURANT (adopting a HK's District name and havin some street names and HK pictures in the shop) but the cultural element is not there at all.. the designs are like any other western restaurants.. I juz feel that they misused the name of TR juz to get attention.. believe me.. I felt frustrated when I got there..

Haa.. it may sounds weird for me to be frustrated becoz of sth this small.. but TR has a certain image imprinted in me and I can't change that... It juz lacks sth.. Of coz, I'm not asking it to be exactly like that in HK since it is supposed to cater to the higher ends and wider masses.. but I juz feel that the amibience and decor can improved.. right now.. it juz looks like any other restaurants selling TR's food. (REBEL: Like the one we went to in Sun Tec City some time ago where they sell HK cusine..)

RIght... I may sound veri critical about it.. mb is becoz my Dad's fren whoz into F&B franchise asked for my opinions about that shop... I heard that he is setting up his own TR in IMM and is asking for concepts and ideas for his TR..

But do I mind going there for TR style food? Not realli. Not at this moment. Is better than nothing. Haha.. mb till my dad's fren set up his own... n i can tell u whether he adopted my ideas then :p

So.. as for now.. if anyone wanna go there n try the food.. do feel free to ask me! I will juz hold back my comments.. haha~
